iWitness

iWitnessIf you are visiting London this Summer, you can see a unique open air exhibition of work by Tom Stoddart close to Tower Bridge, opposite the Tower of London and next to the new City Hall, where a square of large columns supports his pictures in the show iWitness, commemorating 40 years of work by the Disasters Emergency Committee.

The pictures are arranged in groups: famine, siege, exodus, cleansing, floods, earthquake, loss, conflict and scourge, and include work from Sarajevo, Africa, New York after 9/11, Kosovo and elsewhere. These are powerful and emotional images, especially those of ordinary people caught in the crossfire in Sarajevo and the African aids victims. This is great photojournalism.

Your pictures are incredible! You commented on my blog a few weeks ago but I hadn't noticed until now... sorry for taking so long to respond. What is London like?
Thanks for the kind words,
Lauren
