This year, London marked the 2005 New Year with a two minute silence in memory of the victims of the earthquake and Tsunami. This was followed, at midnight, by fireworks and a lighting display at the British Airways London Eye which was visible from all over London.These photos were taken from Waterloo Bridge. On the left is the London Eye and to the right you can see Big Ben, which is one of London's best-known landmarks.

Great to see you're posting again. And great to see some evocative photos of another London celebration I've missed. As I get closer to making the decision to leave Italy and return to the challenges (mostly financial) of London life, your photos help.
