Stop the War March

© Andrew Or
On Saturday, 19th March 2005, over 100,000 protestors gathered for the "Stop the War" march in London marching from Hyde Park Corner to Trafalgar Square demonstrating against the recent Gulf War demanding the troops are brought home. These photos captured a few moments from the events including an attempt to burn the American flag which was quickly stamped out (literally) by the police who did an excellent job in crowd control.
The message was "Bring the Troops home" and "No more Bush wars"

~fantastic crop IMO, it leaves a lot to the imagination and I tend to appreciate street images or portraits w/out a face, as the case is here...thank you for sharing the images from last Saturday's worldwide marches and protests...I have posted a series of images from the march/protest here in Pittsburgh, PA USA, please stop by and view/comment...~

Over 100.000 people march and the only photo you put is an attempt to burn a flag, therefore distorting completely the nature of the event ( as you somehow suggest that it was an anti-american march, which was not) and in the same time revealing your bias against the march. By congratulating the police of "crowd control" you also sounds very much like the Daily Mail.
Apologies. Mea culpa. I thought that was the only photo (the flag burning one)that you posted. I realise now there are more photos from the march in your album, therefore I take back my comments, except the last two lines.
I happen to live in Bermondsey too. Here is my take of London and Bermondsey
