St Mary le Strand

St Mary le StrandThe baroque St. Mary le Strand was built in the 18th century (1714-17) and designed by James Gibbs. Today it sits in the middle of a traffic island in the Strand which is one of London's busiest routes from the City to the west end of London.

According to the church registers, Charles Dickens' parents were married here on June 13, 1809.

I did kneel down to take this shot and as it was raining had only a few seconds to compose and shoot. I waited until the bus and people came into frame to capture movement. What I like about this photo is the reflections on the road, the blurred people and bus giving an impression of movement. Thanks for both of your comments.
