Welcome to my all new photoblog. After 3 years of using blogger for my photoblog, I decided that my website was due for a facelift and this is the result. You can still access my old photoblog here. If you want this template then click here.

My Equipment...

My main camera is a Canon 5D which I use with a collection of Canon 'L' Lenses. My favourite lens is the Canon EF 24-70 F2.8L. When I am out and about I always carry a small compact Leica D-LUX 3 camera which I find produces very high quality images. Hopefully by carrying my Leica, I'll never say "Oh I wish I had my camera". One day I'd like to have a Canon 1Ds MKIII but then again one day I'd like to win the lottery too!

My Workflow...

I always shoot in RAW as I find it is very forgiving and RAW gives me extra flexibility I need when editing images. Every image on this photoblog will have been processed in Lightroom and Photoshop to look its best. From the camera the image is loaded into Adobe Lightroom and then edited in Photoshop. Then from Lightroom I export for the web. That's all there is to it. The Photoshop Plugins I use are Noise Ninja, B&W Converter Pro and Pictocolor iCorrect Portrait.

About Me...

I have been taking photos ever since I had my first Kodak Instamatic camera which I was given when I was 10 years old. I really enjoy photography, technology, travelling and flying. With digital photography I can combine all of my hobbies into one. Well at least that is the plan!

My first film SLR was a Zenith TTL which was made in the former U.S.S.R. It was also very heavy. Once I switched to digital in 2000, I never looked back and I doubt I'd shoot with film ever again. I've owned a few Digital SLRs all of them Canon which has meant my investment in my lenses has paid off. When my Canon 5D is loaded with the battery grip and the heavty Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM lens then that is also very heavy as well. I guess my Zenith training paid off! When I'm not taking photographs I work in the City of London as an IT project manager. As I live in Bermondsey in London most of my photographs are around London. Even though I am primarily a London Photoblogger I will also post some pictures from my travels. I hope you enjoy your visit to my photoblog.
