London Eye Capsule

London Eye CapsuleThe London Eye is 135m high and so I guess I was at about 134m when I took this photo. If you haven't been on the London Eye then I recommend that you do. The views are spectaular. Initially everyone grabs a seat but after a few minutes they realise that there's no need and everyone starts to walk around the capsule. For the best views of the Houses of Parliment go to the opposite end of the capsule from the door or stand in the middle like the woman in the photo in the white suit.

This is Emma by Chu Yun

This is EmmaThis photo was taken at the Freize Art Fair in London. The woman on the bed is "Emma" and she is asleep as she has taken sleeping pills and has earplugs in her ears. The concept is that medicine, in this case sleeping pills, have been used to change a human's natural state in an attempt to create beauty.

This living (or rather sleeping) art is by artist Chu Yun and whilst I am always amused at the thought of how living art can be sold I was even more amused when a man sat on the bed to have his photo taken.

The woman in the middle of the photo, who is standing, immediately jumped up from her chair to tell the man to get off the bed. Emma was not supposed to wake up though a few seconds later she did wake up.

The Wall

The WallAs I haven't posted in some time I thought I post a picture taken in Bishopsgate by the posh shops near Liverpool Street.

Hundreds of people must walk past this wall each day and yet if they saw this picture would they recognise it?

This was the first of eight nights of displays. The text was in constant motion so a high ISO and fast shutter speed was required to capture this shot.
